Holiday Galleria is Junior League of Wichita, Inc.'s (JLW) annual upscale shopping event featuring more than 100 regional and national merchants. The sixth-annual Holiday Galleria: A Day of Shopping, A Year of Giving will be held October 8-11 at Century II Expo Hall in downtown Wichita, Kansas. The objective of the 2009 Holiday Galleria is to raise funds to fulfill Junior League of Wichita, Inc.'s mission of building a better community. We would like to thank the sponsors, both past and present, who helped us to raise net proceeds of over $350,000 in our first four years.

Junior League of Wichita, Inc. is a nonprofit organization of women committed to making a positive impact in the Wichita community. Since 1925, Junior League of Wichita, Inc. has contributed more than $5.6 million to the Wichita community in the form of community projects and training programs.

In addition, over $31.3 million * in-kind services in the form of volunteer hours have been donated to improve the quality of life in the Wichita area (*6,071,660 volunteer hours figured at minimum wage). Examples of projects completed by Junior League of Wichita include renovations of Heritage Park, the Pride of the Plains exhibit featuring lions, warthogs and meerkats at the Sedgwick County Zoo, and starting the Komen Wichita Race for the Cure®.

Junior League of Wichita, Inc. creates fund-raising events such as Holiday Galleria in order to fulfill its mission of building a better community by developing the potential of women, improving the community, and promoting voluntarism. JLW, a nonprofit organization comprised of over 800 women, is committed to building a better community, and that means placing dollars and volunteers in the areas of most need.
